Louis Bavaro

Louis was born, raised and currently lives on Long Island, but was a resident of Manhattan for 20 years. He started his adult life as a live entertainment marketing professional, working on Broadway and off-Broadway shows like Angels in America, Once on this Island, Guys and Dolls, The Heiress, Carousel, A Delicate Balance, Arcadia, Oleanna, In The Continuum, and Parade, among countless others.

One wintery day, he decided it was time for a career change. So he decided to pursue his other passion – cooking – and enrolled in the Italian Culinary Academy where he studied in New York City and Italy, and then worked at a Michelin-rated restaurant in the gorgeous Italian region of Puglia.
Upon returning to the United States, he graduated from culinary school (yippee!) and began his new career as a private chef, servicing clients from Southampton, Purchase, Manhattan, to who knows where next.

An avid travel and photography junkie, Louis has traveled throughout the world, studying (and eating) local culinary specialties and then coming home with a barrage of cookbooks and copper cookware.

He specializes in the cuisines of Italy and France, but his desire to learn and master other culinary traditions is limitless.
